Melissa Barker, Senior Consultant & Mentor
Founder of Organic Demand Generation, Melissa has been a speaker at ITEXPO, InnoTech Oregon, Digital Summit, and interviewed on podcasts and KGW about marketing strategy. She authored the first college textbook on social media strategy, "Social Media Marketing: A Strategic Approach" and developed the first accredited social media certificate in Washington State in 2010. In addition, Melissa has worked both in-house and as a consultant for a variety of high-tech companies providing strategic consulting for social media, email marketing, content marketing, and marketing analytics. Melissa has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to be successful in a variety of roles in marketing, which makes her an effective mentor for anyone looking to make a career change to marketing. She received her M.B.A from Willamette University and a B.A. in Public Relations & Marketing from Gonzaga University.
